Also in sadder news, the legend Issac Hayes passed away. He was a music legend, in fact I d-l some Ike Hayes instrumental a few months ago. U wouldn’t believe how many rap beats were jacked from Ike. I can vividly remember messing with my parent’s old record stash and seeing this crazy cover of a black man in a robe. I opened the record up and it folds out to a cross, the title of the album was Black Moses…….now u know about Ike power. The album is so cold its still going for $20 on Amazon.com. They will be missed.

WOW, I know it not cool to say you love a celebrity but I‘ve had a list of 2 people I would love to talk/ hangout with, Shaq and Rza and now u can add Seth Rogen to that list.

I was talking to a good friend about why “Black Comedies aren’t a where near as good as “White Comedies” Now Ii classify white comedies as Wedding Crashers, Meet the Parents, Seth and all his movies( 40 Virgins, Super Bad etc and black comedies as Tyler Perry’s garbage and movies like First Sunday and any of Martins horrible movies. The bottom line we came up with was black comedies depend on physical comedy and whites rely more on incredible dialogue. It’s so true!!! Let me break it breakdown for ya’:

. This is a funny scene but as you see it all physical, the dialogue is very weak in short. Now take a look at this clip (these damn youtube nuts added there lil' flavor to it, but u all know the scene, in fact the true greatness to this scene is the dialogue and u don’t even need to see there faces.): . One of the funniest scenes ever on film, the back and forth routine, the rawness of the jokes and the flat-out humor is legendary. Well football season is right around the corner and I’m waking up with a stiffy everyday as it gets closer. HBO is doing there Hardknocks series this year with the Dallas Cowboys. First episode was frickin’ awesome. There so many stars on that team, it the perfect back drop for the show. In the opening scene, the brutality of football is clear and evident. Jerry Jones cuts Terry Glenn before practice starts, the equipment guys say’s it best, 12 years in the league and cut in 30 seconds….brutal. Were in the mist of the greatest athletic event in the modern era…….the 2008 Olympics. Now I’m not going to admit of following the previous ones outside of the basketball but im very intrigued to follow this year. On Saturday, after the skins game I was stuck on the volleyball event, the frickin’ Cuba ladies team is incredible
. Anyways I couldn’t sleep so I caught the Spain-Greece game and the Argentina-Lithuania games at 3am. Incredible games, the intl game is so fluid and loose, not like the rigid isolation dominated NBA. Speaking of rigid NBA, have you kept up with all the ex-nba players going overseas for boku cake. I talked about this on my previous blog but this is even faster then I thought. It such a beautiful thing for so many reason!! First the money is tax free, secondly, the weather and the woman are incredible. Think about Josh Childress situation, he a 6th man for the Atlanta Hawks get about 5mill a year or go to frickin’ Greece, yeah that Greece off the Mediterranean Sea, get 7mill(tax free) , the owners pay for your housing……..Tell me why would I stay. Rumor has it Kobe and Lebron will be offered 50millper year when there deals are up, Mr Stern you got a big problem on your hands.

ESPN made no mention of the happening, Additionally, in a feature “Camp Confidential article on ESPN.com, Paul Kuharsky, former Tennessee Titans beat writer for the Tennessean and now ESPN.com writer, never mentioned the name of the man involved in the happening. The NFL Network showed a highlight of the happening.

“The happening” was a 22-yard pass from David Garrard to Matt Jones that led to the Jaguars’ first touchdown of their preseason game against the Falcons. Normally the discussion around a play like that would concern a veteran quarterback in his second season as full-time starter and banal banter using the overused term, “sophomore slump.” Secondarily, there would be talk of the new receivers in the Jags camp and how all the receivers from 2007-08 must watch their backs.

But this play should have spotlighted something entirely different - and would have if the receiver was black.

Matty J. was back. He started the game. Jones played his prescribed starter number of plays and sat down for the remainder of the game.

But this is an NFL player who was busted in an SUV with six grams of coke. This is a first round pick who was busted chopping lines with a credit card while his boys eagerly awaited the result of his “largesse.” This is the guy who was given a HUGE break by a prosecutor by reducing his charge from distribution to possession despite the fact that possessing more than one gram of cocaine carries with it an automatic charge of distribution. This is a player who let his team down mightily late last season and into the playoffs; basically disappeared - and then during the off-season had the nerve to complain that he wanted the ball more.

There was no uproar. No boos when he came onto the field. No sardonic remarks from the local press. No ESPN coverage detailing Jones’ first action since the arrest. No wondering if Jones needed to be released. No nothing from the commissioner’s office about the scourge that is drugs.

Ok Ok I’m back….i had to take some time off……..I’ve just gotten over the Laker's beat down. In all honestly, the C’s were a better/hungrier team and i went to my 1st celebrity wedding. But NBA is over and now I have awoken from my slumber, ready to whip ass.

Fist and foremost, shout-out to all those who watched the NBA draft. I love to see young black males get millions legally and that where the backlash begins. For some idiotic reason the NBA has a notion that a kid has to go to college even though there ready to be drafted in the league. Now out of the 4 major sports basketball is the only league to implement these rules. In baseball, u get drafted in high school, in fact there notion that in some of the island countries there scouted as young as 9yrs old. Hockey=ditto but who really cares. The NFL is a little different. Sure you can declare for the draft until your 3 years out of high school, but that more predicated on the physical maturity rather then skill or talent. Even after all that, just his week King Godell (nfl commish) says a change of the rookies salary scale must change. All in all, the NBA is on some bullshyt. My new fave player is Brandon Jennings. I first was intrigued by young boi in the McDonald's All-American game. He was blazing quick, gr8 handles, love to pass and most importantly rocked a box haircut……More importantly, he bucking the conventional system he not waiting on his acceptance to AZ, he going overseas for a year until next Nba drafthttp://www.sportsagentblog.com/?p=1381. This is such a crafty move by Jennings and his advisor, instead of going to AZ risking injury and ish, he's goin to go over the pond and make some money and play against good comp while waiting to go to the draft. Now that the sports season blows until Football starters, we do have the Olympics. Now I can admit I don’t give a u know for about 90% of the events. I do tend to watch track and field, of course basketball and lady’s volleyball (u got to see the Brazil team). I get in the argument, is USA still the best in basketball, yes and no. Yes we have the best players in the WORLD, there’s no doubt about that. Yes we have the most physically gifted players in the WORLD. Lebron James might be the best athlete in the world…………no uck that he is. But on the aspect of Best team is tenuous. USA lack the fluidity and cohesion of most national teams. Sure you have some NBA intl. players on there teams(Manu, Parker, Nene) but the bulk of the team play 2gether all year long and in most cases most of there life’s. This is a huge disadvantage for the USA. Too many one on players, not enuff tru jumper shooters and lets be real who cares about playing defense. So what do we have, we have a bunch of uber athletes, that one on one would kill anybody ……..unfortunately it a team game. With the late news of D-Ho being injured and his status being unclear….i can honestly see this team losing maybe a game. I’m not bashing the team but I don’t feel anyway towards them. There coached by the single most hated coach in the world……Coach Gay I mean K, 3 of there top players are injured Wade, D-ho and Kobe (add on the stress of playing in the finals) and there is vulnerability. After this team, they need to give it back to the amateurs. Let’s be real, these cats 2day only care about more exposure and getting a large global endorsement slice. Gold is very probable and losing is probable…………..u like those odds.

A Metro station manager and a Metro custodian have been arrested on prostitution charges. Transit police said they arranged sexual encounters from inside the Dupont Circle station. According to police, sex was for sale at the Dupont Circle red line Metro station, and the woman who arranged it was a Metro station manager.
Police said Waters used the Metro loud speaker system to page custodian Pam Goins. Goins, then, agreed to meet an undercover officer on another day for sex.
Pamela Goins; however, said it is all a big lie and she has never been in trouble before, but court documents show differently. The documents showed that Goins, 42, a Metro custodian from Capital Heights, agreed to have sex for money. Goins, though, said she wants her job back after being arrested in the undercover sex sting. Police said they got a tip in May that a Dupont Circle station manager passed out fliers that offered sex trips to Brazil. "What was revealed was that there was a possibility that here, within the Washington, D.C. area you could acquire sex for money," said Metro Transit Police Chief Michael Taborn.
Court documents also showed that Sharon Waters, 45, used her position as station manager to act as a madame. Her neighbor, though, described her as an entrepreneur. "She sold Mary Kay [and] had an agency with trips going to Brazil," said neighbor Ray Jones. Waters worked for Metro for 18 years. She told her neighbor her job was the best thing that ever happened to her. "During the summertime she had cookouts, and family and a lot of Metro workers come," Jones said of Waters. Waters was arrested Tuesday and is currently on administrative leave. Police have not said if any sex took place on Metro property, but said, more arrest may be coming.

Wow wat a perfect way to kick of the Mem. Day weekend…..also known as the Kiss of Death(I got that from an old Jadakiss freestyle more on him later). We got to start with Lakers. Watching them play , I’m getting the feeling…..that funny- funny feeling and it feels so gud. Watching the game Thursday was an outer body exp.n I was flipin back and forth from the game to Real World (more in the next paragraph) and as the Chumps got up by 20, I was perplexed. Not mad but upset, cause I know where a better team, were younger, sharper and hungrier. Slowly as they chipped away, I knew we officially turned that Championship proverbially “corner”. I sw it with the Shaq-Kobe dynasty when they came back against Portland in the 4th qtr; . I saw with the Psitons against Indiana in the 2004 ECF, when Tayshawn blocked Reggie shot and u saw that the finally believed they could win the championship. It such an interesting moment…almost a moment of clarity…..it usually happens in the face of a large deficit or obstacle. I was re-reading The 33 Strategies of War, and the 4th strategy is the Death-Ground. In a nutshell “Death Ground-where your back it against the wall and you have to fight like hell to get out alive”. That what every winner/ championship team must go thru to come together, focus and win it all. By the way did you peep how Coach Jack didn’t call a timeout while the Spurs where building there 20 point lead. Amazing!!!

As I mentioned early, I was switching back and forth between game one and the Real World. For those who don’t follow this season, u need 2. Only about 5 episode deep, we’ve have racial undertones, one cast member in rehab and stealing of Panties…………..U gotta love it. This week, ish really hit the fan:

Interesting, I came across this in cyberspace. I’m huge fan of the Rev. Run show on MTV. I think Run is one of the coolest father on tv….ever. Still a b-boy at heart, just like me. Now his 2 daughters are cuties and the little sons are cool, but that damn Jo-Jo is lame…and here’s the proof; . For my thought provoking slice of news…..it not surprising …not at all. The thing about the Gr8est country ever, is business is the backbone., our fiber of life. Now the bottom-line is the bottom line, it a simple equation,; Cheap labor + High prices =Big Ass Profit. It’s that simple……….there no friends and there no hard feeling none of that shyt. American think these companies are out-sourcing and send all the factories over seas cause they don’t like the American workers…………no they just don’t even care that much about it, It all business. I was even out-sourced my self (in away). I was working for the number one employer in VA (huge govt. contractor) and everybody in the payroll dept was on contract. The pay was very nice but after a few months why weren’t we on full time. Then I figured it out, it was cheaper to pay us as contractors and not give us benefits, 401k and all that other stuff. We were out-sourced in America, Americans out-sourcing other Americans…………..it’s a bottom-line world we live in. That what I try to explain to people about Slavery! I really believe the main culprit was cheap labor. The cash crop at the time was cotton and tobabbaco. Who was goin to maintain and cultivate the fertile land? Not Mass’aa Charley and Miss Emma. Now the deplorable conditions which slaves/prisoners were kept in is a whole different discussion. What cannot be argued is the need for the next administration needs to look into the corporate slim shadiness. Does one really think, there no correlation between the huge profits by the Oil Companies and the fact that President Bush and Condo Rice are on the board of directors at Exxon. Have u seen the profits of Exxon…………..9.4 billion, that’s Profit…..that wat they take home………..are u kidding me!!!!!!!!!! Think about it!!!!!

This is the best NBA playoffs have ever been. Just recently my brother held his soon to be annual Man’s Weekend. He cooks’out and celebrate the NBA playoffs quad-header on sat. and Sunday. I want to give props and homage for extending your great house and cooking to a bunch of knuckle’heads. The games were simply amazing. Lakers have taken care of bidness, Spurs too, the biggest surprises are the Celtics and Pistons. There way the so- called cream of the east and there struggling wit below 40 win teams…….typical. Anyways the off’s have been gr8. The best series so far is the Zards’ and Cavs. It has gotten very chippy good playoff intensity. The intensity reached a creshendo when Jigga released a diss-song at deshawn Stevenson. The main beef I have is WHYYYYYYYY!. Jigga is a zillion’aire, Lebron is damn near a billion’aire and Deshawn is a multi-millon’aire so why are we making diss song. Last Saturday, I went to my homeboy Lance house down in Bmore {side note: When I tell people im from around Baltimore they always ask “Do I know where the Wire is???} Anyways we watched the NFL Draft up there. It amazing how big and powerful, we spent over 8 hrs watching the draft just wasting our life away on players that wont even be in the league in 3 years. Damn u….King Goddel. Anyways funny story, we went to a lil’ bar down there, and it was Ravens Country heavy. My friends LA and Peachy wore Skins and Giant apparel. They were chanting some pretty foul language when the Skins picked…..lol it was all good. I had a really good tyme out there, the area has a lot of bars and young people out there…….and some nice slices (wink). I think were goin to Preakness in 2 weeks, all fans and peasants are more then welcome to meet me out there.

Just one week to the most talented artist of the 20th century was born……………..not me……..Stevie Wonder but I was also born on the same day. Sorry for the late updates, but were goin to kick it up a notch.

This is one of the funniest blogs ever created. The funny thing about it is, many blacks I know do the same stuff but then again I’m from the burbs’. I have a interesting take on the whole Gentrify –issue. One one hand I would love to see the neighbor hoods stay with the people who lived there before but on the other hand if the hood is rundown and decrypted then why not. Me and my good friend used to live in southeast DC. One of the most notorious hoods in all the world. For us it wasn’t a big problem because we didn’t get into the hype of fear the media portrayed the area as. Every morning I saw a kids in uniforms and workin adults hop on the train and go to work. On the other hand there was crime and other issues that arise when jobs and hope are scarce. About 2 years ago they tore down an old project and built huge townhouse….townhouse that the previous tenants couldn’t obvious afford. In short Southeast is blown up, they just opened the new 611 million new stadium and the Grand Harbor right off the Potomac. Huge money makers financed by the huge greedy corporations but who’s goin to reap those benefits……….

DC all in all is a football town, Skins are Kings. Think about the Wiz and Capitals have been much better and still struggle to sale out. You think we could have done something more productive with 611m. Like maybe find some alternatives to cut down on crime. First and foremost a huge shout out to my second family, The Mccrearys for throwing my first Final 4 party. The spread of chicken wings, jambalaya( Mrs. Paula even made it from smoke turkey cause she knew me and my brother don’t even beef or pork), fresh salad and a top-notch Juice Game. As the 1st game was ended and I was met wit Kevin Love is overrated…blah-blah, I was digging in for the UNC-ku game. This was supposed to be the second to last step to our coronation as 08 champ. Funny thing happened-Roy didn’t get the boys ready to play. We were buzz-sawed by ku. They jumped on us up by at least 15 before Roy called a timeout. Why??? The only coach that successfully doest call timeouts to stop run’s is Philly Jack. I was shocked and stunned, totally speechless. The second half was a diff. story, we made a historical run and cut the lead to 4. But when Danny Green is playing the best on your team, ur in trouble. At that moment I knew ku was goin to win the chip; when UNC cut the lead to 4 and ku called a timeout, in the past ku would have chocked the game away. Not this year they regrouped and finished us off. Then on Monday they finished Memphis off after a un/probable Jenna Jameson like choke job. Congrats to ku but I’m very disturbed by the UNC loss. The boys fought hard but they just looked so unprepared and severly out-coached. Luckily, I had a vision…….both Ty comes back, Ellington gets better, the incoming freshman gel pretty early and we we go 35-0 and cut the nets down…….That the only thing that can erase this ugly loss

Now that March Madness is over it now onto College Football….which in my opinion is the best all seasonal sport. The rivalries, the uber propensity of upsets make it a sports fan wet dream. As everybody knows im a huge Notre Dame Fan, which in the last few years has gotten me sliced and diced by my friends. Last year was brutal, I don’t mind losing games but to not even physically compete is very hard to see. But there always next year….and next year is now. As the gr8 Dickie V would say this is cupcake city. We can easily go 10-2 and maybe even 11-1 beating a young new adjusted Michigan. We have 6 home-games and a neutral site game against Navy. This schedule stinks to the high heaven, I can see the headlines coming into the USC game, 10-1 ND is playing for a BCS bowl and Weis is bringing prominence back to South Bend. Just Watch…..but I will also enjoy beating Michigan tail (Marbs and Mike.lol). Less than 4 months to football season starts u suckas. Justin Tuck, Ryan Grant and Derek Landri all played pivotal roles in the NFL postseason.

On to the NBA, I was very impressed with the Wiz, Phx Suns and Mavs. They played hard and had key wins. The Wiz are a very scary/unpredictable team. No team can boast 3 legit all-stars except Boston. They can score, hit 3 play ok defense and only avg 13 turnovers. Depending on where they seed they might be my upset special. I love the way The daddy is playing. Like he said after there tuff win in SA, “he the best 36 yr old”. I would have to uniamously agree, most can’t or don’t want to remember Hakeem on the Raptors and Ewing on the Sonics/and Magic. They were sad shells of there former self’s, al while Shaq is avg a legit double-double and making his team a legit Finals contender…..long live the Diesel. Lastly the Mav’s played big the last 2 weeks. Gotta give Dirk his due, they will be a tuff out in the West.

Now onto all the college players and the dumb’ass media/coaches giving them static about going pro. Listen I’m such a strong proponent of the kids leaving getting there butta and not having to risk the careers while making these University boku cash. That one-year rule is pure bs. They only have to take 6 credits (basically 2 classes) so you can kill that there for education talk. I only have one phrase for Stephen Curry….Get yo money mane’. I got into a big argument wit my friend from 4th grade Peach. He thinks Curry should stay in school, I think he star will never be hotter then it is right, next year he wont be able to sneak up on anybody plus it frickin’ Davidson…….I have 2 examples of ok players that should have left and got there money but instead comeback and lost millions, Terrance Morris and John Gilchrist . For those who forgot, Morris was 6/10 long arm 4-man that had a killer ACC season and a killer NCAA tourney. . He should have left after that but for some reason he came back and had a horrible senior year. He did get drafted in the 2nd round and played a few season for the Rockets but never got the pay day he deserved. By the way check-out wat he’s doing now

One of the lamest aspects of the NFL season was those bull’ish NFL networks games. One of the main reason was the horrible announcing team of Chris Collinsworth and Bryant Gumbel. Best story of the last few weeks was that beatdown those girls gave the other chick. It always so refreshing to see rich privilege white girls beat the shyt out of to other rich white girls……….
I had to splice it wit some crazy ass Indian Thriller video, Shyt is hilariously. Anyways I found out Dr. Phil bailed out one of the girls. WTF: . Even though he pulled the offer back, he still a P.O.S. Now do we even have to identify the racial undertones of the incident? Can we all agree that if these were 8 black females and 2 black guys as lookout and the victim was a white girl……..They would have locked them up with no bail, the arresting officers would be wearing dashikis and afros, Bill O’Reilly would pack his show up and broadcast live from there execution……..Aww the spoils of victory.

What a last week for my Heels. They dominated the whole game and shut the dookies down the last 5 mins. Then we goin on a major roll and win the Acc Tourney back to back. If we play D' like that the rest of the yeah, were a good bet to cu those nets down. I was so impressed wit the poise and composure of the Heels' this is what championship teams play like in March. I also saw Tyler is gonna get his jersey retired...wat an honor to be swinging in the rafters wit the likes of Worthy, Jordan and Perkins. Some feel it's not warranted but there mainly basing that off there pro careers and not solely on there college days. Pscho T is that man.....an UNC Legend.....

Wire Update
I’m torn on the last Wire....it was ok but lacked the firepower we needed. I know they had to tie the homeless murders and the whole newspaper angle, but we needed more mike. I see where there goin wit the character parallelism wit Mike-Omar, Dookie-Bubbles but where the beef. The final episode was like mayo and lettuce, important in the sandwich process but not the meat. But what could one expect from a finale. U got try to tie all the loose ends up.....a 5 year show in 1hr...Were Gonna Miss U....

Now the real heat comes, what gonna to be out show that we follow wit and Iron Fist. my first option is Weeds. I saw the series premiere when i was living with the Marble man but haven't really followed. Links: it since. My homey at work some episodes on his usb and let me peep a few during the doldrums of training. What a show.....I think i love it cause it so close to home. My hometown is very similar to Agrestic. Big house...a lot of lonely soccer moms, mini-vans, manicured lawns and all that. The kids play soccer (me 2), karate, swimming and we pay big money for a frickin tennis bubble so the bup'ees can play in the winter. The plot and players are so good. I zipped up some episodes for ur pleasure, don’t worry if its goin into the 3rd season already.....it easy to catch up and enjoy.

Was up late on Friday and caught the HardKnock HBO series about the Ravens. Wat a good show by far the best sports reality show. Was thinkin why they ever signed Grbac. That was the worst move ever...the raves were young and hungry but blew it with that move. By the way if anybody can get me season 1 or 2 it would be cool and ill shoot u a fair one.

Went to the Zards'-Cavs game on the other night. Gr8 game...I'm so not in love wit the Cavs trade. I saw the pieces out there and they just don't fit. Delonte West is no pg....not at all, Benny Wallace is no longer a starter in the NBA, Wally is a waste of flesh- he stayed in the same spot the whole tyme and didn't get in a defensive stance the whole game add on that he getting 13 mill a season and now u have the most over-rated bum in the league. There were 2 funny parts of the game that i must talk about. The first thing was the injured army guys that were cheered when they were announced. One of the injured solider who had a prosthetic leg, pulled his leg off poured and drank his beer from his leg. Nice!!! The second thing was when the Cavs were on the free throw line and they wanted to pump the crowd up; they would put pictures of Duke on the jumbo-tron. Duke hatred is at a all-tyme high and I love it, it was the loudest the arena got all night.

Like most of the country, I was following the Elliot Spizer case. I'm not going to go into the details ( u can go to cnn.com for all that. I’m the type to look for the reason instead of the result....good or bad. I know pussy/sex makes the world go round. Contrary to popular belief money is a close second, but u can ask most people if they have comfortable amount of money, great and tantric sex rather than sick money and some lame sex. Especially for guys....but why...why would he give up everything he built for some trim. I was thinkin about one of my fave books and the power that comes with seduction/sex. I was waiting to post this week blog because I wanted to fully watch and review “Black Magic”. It’s the ESPN documentary that tells the story of the Black college basketball player. It was one of the most entertaining and educational treatments ever. To be honest is had the same feel as the legendary Roots mini-series. The stories, the players….were immaculately displayed. The ish’ they had to go thru just to live and play basketball was insane. Watching the doc made my emotions range from hatred, joy and to pure awe when I saw the Pee-Wee Kirkland section. He’s moved into my fave basketball player of all-tyme (move over diesel). His story is just so interesting and compelling it has to be made into a movie. At his peak he was offered a contract by the Chicago Bulls but turn them down to keep hustling….While he was locked up he played for an intense prison league he avg. 60 pts and once scored 100pts. One of his teammates said we need more out of u, so the next game he scored 145…..I love it. Hopefully it will be out by xmas cause that something that needs to be in the collection…..along with Rebound (the Earl Manigault story).

Gotta thanks the Big Homey for those magical line. On the eve of Free Agency this line must race thru the heads of the potential free agents. In a nutshell they get paid out the ying even when there avg. to best, so in reality the team won’t affect there cream at all. For instance a bum like Gabril Wilson who out 32 starting safeties is around like the 17th best if that signs a huge deal with the Raiders. Let’s break down his deal 16 mill just for waking up and a grand total of 6yrs for 39mill. Wows are u serious that puts him at the 3rd highest safety behind Troy Polamatu and Defensive P.O.Y Bob Sanders. Now you know why teams like the Raiders end up 4 and 12 every year. Not to pick on that bum who I predict will be cut in less then 2 season but there a list of overpriced bums getting there buttes from sorry ass NFL teams and owners. But the biggest heist was the Jags giving Cleo Lemon a 3yr 8.1mill deal. Yup the same Cleo who guided the fins’ to 1 one and had 6ts and 6 ints, the frickin guy got 2.95mill for waking up that day plus 4 mill in incentives…u gotta love it. Some of these deals are just outta of this world, it makes u really wonder where’s all this money coming from…..If there’s a player strike it will be the dumbest move ever. So for less than 20 u can get pretty twisted and watch the games. As the game was being played I realized a few things; Bean was goin to the rim with reckless abandonment and why in the hell were Sasha Vujic on the court for the whole 4th qtr and ot. I don’t really question Phil much but WTF. I mean fish has been struggling with his jumper a lil but come on….he the glue of the Lake show. Kobe right now is Mike Jack right after dropping Thrilla. He’s so fluid right now.

I was cleaning up my hard drive ( also known as looking for old porn u haven’t seen in awhile) and came across some zipped up albums I never got around to opening. Looking back on this season, I could do without the whole Newspaper angle. But episode 9 was damn gr8. Basically shit hit the fan……..but Marlo killed the jail scene…”my name is my name” I was so anticipating the Finale on Monday, when they didn’t put it on on-demand, I was crushed. I couldn’t sleep…I’m not sleeping well waiting fro the finale. I’m hurt dogg……..I’ve been scouring the net for episode 10 but to no happs. Were like Bubbles in Hamsterdam (go peep season 3 fake ass wire fans) right now…we want it so bad we might cry!!!!!

The king-Bean MVP race is heating up. To me there’s no real contest but for the league DDB’s (dumb deaf and blind) think its close race. I can’t sleep; king had a monster game against the Knicks (my point is the Knicks suck, Bean scores 52 against a legit team). 50pts and 10 rebs and some good heated exchanges wit Spike and Hov. But Bean is on top of the West……………He got 8 more wins in a way tuffer conf. They posed this question on SC this week. If u had a pick; who would u choose king or Bean. That question is double-sided…….from a GM long term no doubt it would be king who is 7 yrs younger. From the standpoint of u need one player to win 2day u pick Bean hands-down? So this leads to the question is the future promised…….especially in sports. Let’s see: what happened to Bullets of Webber and Howard that played the Bulls tuff, what happened to Penny Hardaway (who arguably was the pre bron’ and Bean). Peace. What a blast of a week. Gr8 party, Gr8 Sports and the Gr8est Show ever getting crazy Funky.

We kicked the week off last Saturday at one of the classiest, extravagant parties east of the Mississippi. I was invited to v-day party by my good friends Rome and Mill. Now there Chris and Snoop couple of my crew…..”They get mad work done”. The only bad part of the date was I was going to miss the Dunk contest and the Taylor-Pavlik rematch. Ohh well that why they got espnews. The event was so damn classy, there were candles and flowers decked throughout the hallway. Getting there early I partake in a cool Dewars and Coke……aww so refreshing. In the hall I bump into my good friend King, who mad the trip down from Connecticut. He was in great spirits as argued was Hasheem Thabeet better then Ray Hibbert….tuff call I thing Thabeet can be a defensive force but Hibbert plays a smart game not based on athletic ability that will prolong his career. I bump into my brother and his girlfriend in the foyer, they looks so smashing together. We had back to the bar and inform him about the Bibby to ATl trade. He was furious the Cavs didn’t land him, I told him the Cavs need shooters not per se Playmakers cause the king is the dominate ball-handler. Back to the Party.!! As more and more and my crew started filling in, we start congregating and holding court outside. A beautiful thing, everyone is dressed to the nines…I’m talking business casual, fine linens and 10gs of fine wrist-wear. These brothers were dressed like they had a court date or sumthin…..lol. All in all this was the classiest and elegant event I was blessed to attend. There were 3 world class food courses including a chocolate fudge cake that was richer the Warren Buffets portfolio plus 4 great music acts. Timeless and Memorable. If u ever think about throwing an event and need a delicate touch please visit. ……nuffin exceeds like excess.

Well the Taylor-Pavlik wasn’t a rematch but a mismatch as Pavlik whipped his ass again. I watched the 24/7 on the rematch and was really pulling for Taylor but he sucks and now goes into the Oliver McCall and Hassim Rahman, Buster Douglass (by the way he has the second best fight videogame ever- ) category…One lucky night” fighters. The Dunk contest was damn good and very innovative. I have on question; how does Gerald Green who stands 6’7 win the dunk contest last year and finish 2nd this year already get traded to his 3rd team. Anyways the Dunk contest but I want to see someone pull this dunk off:

MMoD streams every NCAA tournament game so u don’t miss anything at work. I was watching the Food Network (big surprise) and caught a show called Cooking with the Neely’s. It a black couple form Memphis cooking show. The chemistry, the meals & the whole atmosphere of the show is incredible. I was inspired by a lasagna dish they cooked up and made it the following day. It turned out so good I was requested to make a batch at an wedding event in March….damn im good. Check them out

How in the Hell does Gayvon George have a no-trade clause. To be honest there should be only 2 players with (ntc’s, there actually 18)….Bean and King James. Here the excuse; he has a clause in his one-year, $2.4 million deal that stipulates he must agree to any trade. George forfeits his early Bird rights in a trade which, theoretically, could cost him a larger salary when he seeks his next deal after he becomes a free agent July. 1. Wow this is why the NBA is the best League in the world. Here u have a bum like George has all the power in leverage in the world, he has 3 rings, still has a house in LA and can tell groupies he know Shaq and Kobe…and Dirk and Cubes…….I love this country. In a few years Cubes will be thanking George for the hold-up, this trade stinks. The Mavs even with Kidd can’t beat SA, LA or PHX and to be honest a tem like Utah might beat them if they get a few breaks. So why trade for a 35 yr pg who cant shoot, yes he makes ur team a lil’ better but what happens when u double down on Dirk and swing it to Kidd and he clank that shit…………..Now u see the light. By the way Espn Classix will be having a ASG marathon on Sunday 12. Comcast finally answered my prayers and gave us Classix on the reg. digi-package. They have a college basketball double header on in the afternoon. Yesterday I caught 2 Puke-MD games. 1995 Joey Smith gave them like 27 and 13 against such Puke legends like Eric Meeks and The other chief Cherokee Parks…….lol. The nightcap was the 2001 game when MD gave up a 12pt lead with 59 seconds……….amazing comeback



The even weird thing was Md had Puke up by like 10 in the 2001 Final 4 only to choke up and let them win. I hate him but I gotta give the boy Dookie Battier his due, he the most winning’est player in NCAA history 4yrs-133 wins.

My fave new Network of 2008(it might be old but who cares I say what I want) G4. Great network, Oliva Gunn , wat a fine slice of cheese :: over there and they play Cops and Cheaters. They have a segment at night that has All Japanese tv and it off the hook….very young and hip network, maybe they can get some re-runs of A-team, Knight Rider and GI Joes and it will officially replace Spike as the de facto Mans Network.

I’m a wrap this up wit my thought on V-day. It’s the Cole-Slaw of holidays. Nice sometimes, but who ever ask for cole-slaw. It’s a basic day that strictly for females and it bad for the environment. Think about it, we kill millions of flowers for one day, destroy mega tons of the cacao plant that makes chocolate…..for wat. Think about ask urself wat the best v-day gift u got…….keep thinking it doesn’t even register. But have no fear fellas, I got a holiday brewing for us………stay tuned.
