New Year New Ish

New Year…New Ish

Im back and reloaded, I feel re-invigorated and most importantly rehabilitated……That’s right, im back like spine’s and car seats. Plenty to be thankful this year; good health, my homie had a gorgeous baby girl …all good things and now my sword is sharp as ‘uck so get ready for the bumpy ride…it’s gonna be fun.

First things first…….on the tv front…..Real World-Road Rules Challenge 3 is coming back. Now everybody who knows me knows im a huge fan of the whole RW-RR series. In fact me and my old roommate used to have RR-RW challenge parties and invite girls over to watch……ohhh the good old days. Anyways I was talking to my brother and I was thinking when will I be to old to watch these type of shows. Im 26 now but in 4 short years I will be 30 and looking at 18yrs old bungee jumping into pools wearing little bikinis…..Am I wrong for that. By the way for all the Coral fans she will be back and those golden globes will be bungee jumping into pools wearing little bikinis…… I love it.

Secondly the greatest show ever…..that right I said it….The Wire will return this weekend. U ask what makes it the gr8est ever and I ay…..drama, action, gr8 acting, real shit, compelling actors and not the Hollywood polished shit…….This is the best show period coming in close second is OZ, but even OZ cant mess wit the Wire. In fact before I moved in with my Cubby-cakes, she never seen an episode before, never knew about the harsh reality of Bodymore-Muderland or more socially accepted Harm oops I mean Charm City. It’s such a hard city like everybody there is very rugged and hard and not like DC where the crime rates are similar but dc is very polished almost a smoothness to the madness. I grew up about 20 mins away from bmore and spent many night there…….just a real rugged place. Anyways she was hooked after watching this scene :

Simply the best intro to a show ……ever!!! Look at the Sales Associate Face….This season of the Wire is even more special to me, not only is it the last but a good friend of mine is actually on the show this year…..he’s an extra cop but he has some speakin lines. I will be lookin out for the Trunny, Just updated he will be on the 4th episode.

Now speaking of B’more they finally fired Brain Billick of the Ravens. Now most of my clique didn’t really grow up as ravens fans since they were born in 1997. But when they won the chip in 2000 we collectively grew to mess with them. Once again one player transcended and became the pillar/rock of the city……..Ray-Ray Lewis was that man. His passion and energy is second to none. But to be totally honest the Raves are in transition. There vaunted defense gives up way to many big plays and to be honest has gotten old and predictable. The offense is down-right filthy and nasty. No playmakers, the QB situation is garbage……they suck. I’ve been doing some due diligence to figure out how to get this once mighty franchise back to respectability. First thing is to let the best commodity go, trade All-Pro and best safety to NE for there 1st and 3rd (1st=7th overall). Now I know all the pundits and raven fans in denial will say that crazy why trade ur best player. Easy, you won 4 games with him and lets be real maybe 6 games next year without changes. NE has not been shy about his love for Ed Reed and to be honest NE will be a gr8 fit for Ed Reed. The whole thing of blowing a team up is to build through the draft…need examples…the Indy colts starter consist of 95% of the players they drafted. That’s right the world champs and one of the one of the most winnings teams of the decade. You simply cant win from free-agency…the redskin learned that the hard way the last few years but finally have been building thru the draft and being a little more fiscally responsible. Last example; when Jimmy Johnson took over the 1-15 cowboys he traded his number one commodity, Hershel Walker for 7 draft picks from the Minnesota Vikings. By the way some of those draft picks turned out to be Emmit and Darren Woodson. Now the move that goin to hurt the most; they should trade Ray Lewis. He is an iconic figure and a sure fire Hall of Famer:

But at 30 plus linebackers don’t really get better .Plus he starting to get nick’d up. I think he can really help teams on the brink that new a strong defensive influence such as: Indy, Arizona, SF and maybe even a Carolina Panthers. All in all trade him for a 3rd round pick. Now were starting to destroy and rebuild. We should have accumulated at least 5 xtra picks to start building up the roster. The O-line is in shambles and u can never have enuff depth, Re-sign T-Suggs, Get rid of Mccalister , Rolle and Heap and decide if Troy Smith is the answer, if not draft a QB and develop him and finally please draft some playmakers…WR and better D-backs . This is not an exact science but the Raves have to stop putting band-aid on the problem and finally go in for that much needed surgery or fall into the trap of being only one player away for 7 years.

On the political side, it was quite refreshing to see Obama win the Iowa Caucus. I found myself asking friends and family can he really win….like really win. My friend sent me and interesting clip

Wow , that some powerful shit, how can u sing laws and bills in effect without congress, what happened to check in balance. The funny thing is this is going down and cant none of is stop it like it or leave it….we the American public have sold our soul. Everything is out sourced…and I mean everything. I called Microsoft for some tech support and the techie was located in India, now u can’t hate on the techie but u can hate and if necessary boycott Microsoft products……. My theory has always been built around the the saying ‘Power to the People”. Let hypothetically say just for 3 days, Americans limit or cut back, hell even carpool or use public mass and totally not even go to the gas station unless deemed 100% necessary. Do you really think Exxon (who made a 8billion dollar profit) will feel that.. Think about that for a minute… 2 fronts, just 3 days of not getting gas unless 100% necessary will kill there bottom line and think about makin a 9 billion dollar profit, no business makes that much profit….that damn robbery. But the major corp don’t have to worry Americans have become so weak and dependent on them instead of each other. I came across that best describes this problem:

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will see peace"
~Jimi Hendrix~

Deep shit ……real deep
