Also in sadder news, the legend Issac Hayes passed away. He was a music legend, in fact I d-l some Ike Hayes instrumental a few months ago. U wouldn’t believe how many rap beats were jacked from Ike. I can vividly remember messing with my parent’s old record stash and seeing this crazy cover of a black man in a robe. I opened the record up and it folds out to a cross, the title of the album was Black Moses…….now u know about Ike power. The album is so cold its still going for $20 on Amazon.com. They will be missed.

WOW, I know it not cool to say you love a celebrity but I‘ve had a list of 2 people I would love to talk/ hangout with, Shaq and Rza and now u can add Seth Rogen to that list.

I was talking to a good friend about why “Black Comedies aren’t a where near as good as “White Comedies” Now Ii classify white comedies as Wedding Crashers, Meet the Parents, Seth and all his movies( 40 Virgins, Super Bad etc and black comedies as Tyler Perry’s garbage and movies like First Sunday and any of Martins horrible movies. The bottom line we came up with was black comedies depend on physical comedy and whites rely more on incredible dialogue. It’s so true!!! Let me break it breakdown for ya’:

. This is a funny scene but as you see it all physical, the dialogue is very weak in short. Now take a look at this clip (these damn youtube nuts added there lil' flavor to it, but u all know the scene, in fact the true greatness to this scene is the dialogue and u don’t even need to see there faces.): . One of the funniest scenes ever on film, the back and forth routine, the rawness of the jokes and the flat-out humor is legendary. An interesting fact is they ad-libed the whole scene…..Seth you’re a Genius. I’m not knocking anybody that is doing there thing like Tyler, I truly understand how hard it is to get a Black movie made but come on let no keep perpetuating these dumb-ass stereotypes.

Well football season is right around the corner and I’m waking up with a stiffy everyday as it gets closer. HBO is doing there Hardknocks series this year with the Dallas Cowboys. First episode was frickin’ awesome. There so many stars on that team, it the perfect back drop for the show. In the opening scene, the brutality of football is clear and evident. Jerry Jones cuts Terry Glenn before practice starts, the equipment guys say’s it best, 12 years in the league and cut in 30 seconds….brutal. Were in the mist of the greatest athletic event in the modern era…….the 2008 Olympics. Now I’m not going to admit of following the previous ones outside of the basketball but im very intrigued to follow this year. On Saturday, after the skins game I was stuck on the volleyball event, the frickin’ Cuba ladies team is incredible
. Anyways I couldn’t sleep so I caught the Spain-Greece game and the Argentina-Lithuania games at 3am. Incredible games, the intl game is so fluid and loose, not like the rigid isolation dominated NBA. Speaking of rigid NBA, have you kept up with all the ex-nba players going overseas for boku cake. I talked about this on my previous blog but this is even faster then I thought. It such a beautiful thing for so many reason!! First the money is tax free, secondly, the weather and the woman are incredible. Think about Josh Childress situation, he a 6th man for the Atlanta Hawks get about 5mill a year or go to frickin’ Greece, yeah that Greece off the Mediterranean Sea, get 7mill(tax free) , the owners pay for your housing……..Tell me why would I stay. Rumor has it Kobe and Lebron will be offered 50millper year when there deals are up, Mr Stern you got a big problem on your hands.

News dropped that John Edwards had an affair…………WOW, it must be slow in the he news world. Listen every man of power cheats….yes Ghandi included……lol. This should never be news or shocking,. ESPN made no mention of the happening, Additionally, in a feature “Camp Confidential article on ESPN.com, Paul Kuharsky, former Tennessee Titans beat writer for the Tennessean and now ESPN.com writer, never mentioned the name of the man involved in the happening. The NFL Network showed a highlight of the happening.

“The happening” was a 22-yard pass from David Garrard to Matt Jones that led to the Jaguars’ first touchdown of their preseason game against the Falcons. Normally the discussion around a play like that would concern a veteran quarterback in his second season as full-time starter and banal banter using the overused term, “sophomore slump.” Secondarily, there would be talk of the new receivers in the Jags camp and how all the receivers from 2007-08 must watch their backs.

But this play should have spotlighted something entirely different - and would have if the receiver was black.

Matty J. was back. He started the game. Jones played his prescribed starter number of plays and sat down for the remainder of the game.

But this is an NFL player who was busted in an SUV with six grams of coke. This is a first round pick who was busted chopping lines with a credit card while his boys eagerly awaited the result of his “largesse.” This is the guy who was given a HUGE break by a prosecutor by reducing his charge from distribution to possession despite the fact that possessing more than one gram of cocaine carries with it an automatic charge of distribution. This is a player who let his team down mightily late last season and into the playoffs; basically disappeared - and then during the off-season had the nerve to complain that he wanted the ball more.

There was no uproar. No boos when he came onto the field. No sardonic remarks from the local press. No ESPN coverage detailing Jones’ first action since the arrest. No wondering if Jones needed to be released. No nothing from the commissioner’s office about the scourge that is drugs.

Ok Ok I’m back….i had to take some time off……..I’ve just gotten over the Laker's beat down. In all honestly, the C’s were a better/hungrier team and i went to my 1st celebrity wedding. But NBA is over and now I have awoken from my slumber, ready to whip ass.

Fist and foremost, shout-out to all those who watched the NBA draft. I love to see young black males get millions legally and that where the backlash begins. For some idiotic reason the NBA has a notion that a kid has to go to college even though there ready to be drafted in the league. Now out of the 4 major sports basketball is the only league to implement these rules. In baseball, u get drafted in high school, in fact there notion that in some of the island countries there scouted as young as 9yrs old. Hockey=ditto but who really cares. The NFL is a little different. Sure you can declare for the draft until your 3 years out of high school, but that more predicated on the physical maturity rather then skill or talent. Even after all that, just his week King Godell (nfl commish) says a change of the rookies salary scale must change. All in all, the NBA is on some bullshyt. My new fave player is Brandon Jennings. I first was intrigued by young boi in the McDonald's All-American game. He was blazing quick, gr8 handles, love to pass and most importantly rocked a box haircut……More importantly, he bucking the conventional system he not waiting on his acceptance to AZ, he going overseas for a year until next Nba drafthttp://www.sportsagentblog.com/?p=1381. This is such a crafty move by Jennings and his advisor, instead of going to AZ risking injury and ish, he's goin to go over the pond and make some money and play against good comp while waiting to go to the draft. This rule will change the face of NCAA-NBA rulebook. There no doubt that the NBA will try to block this move and since the NCAA is in bed with the NBA and on a whole will be losing many blue-chippers, they will try to block this move. Now that the sports season blows until Football starters, we do have the Olympics. Now I can admit I don’t give a u know for about 90% of the events. I do tend to watch track and field, of course basketball and lady’s volleyball (u got to see the Brazil team). I get in the argument, is USA still the best in basketball, yes and no. Yes we have the best players in the WORLD, there’s no doubt about that. Yes we have the most physically gifted players in the WORLD. Lebron James might be the best athlete in the world…………no uck that he is. But on the aspect of Best team is tenuous. USA lack the fluidity and cohesion of most national teams. Sure you have some NBA intl. players on there teams(Manu, Parker, Nene) but the bulk of the team play 2gether all year long and in most cases most of there life’s. This is a huge disadvantage for the USA. Too many one on players, not enuff tru jumper shooters and lets be real who cares about playing defense. So what do we have, we have a bunch of uber athletes, that one on one would kill anybody ……..unfortunately it a team game. With the late news of D-Ho being injured and his status being unclear….i can honestly see this team losing maybe a game. I’m not bashing the team but I don’t feel anyway towards them. There coached by the single most hated coach in the world……Coach Gay I mean K, 3 of there top players are injured Wade, D-ho and Kobe (add on the stress of playing in the finals) and there is vulnerability. After this team, they need to give it back to the amateurs. Let’s be real, these cats 2day only care about more exposure and getting a large global endorsement slice. Gold is very probable and losing is probable…………..u like those odds.

The 1st 2 episode were kind of tame, just some cats addicted to alcohol, me personally u have to be at the minimal hooked on Meth for me to enjoy……sorry that just me…..lol. Laugh now Cry later. That right the best news segment ever has been canceled. Apparently if u caught the last episode, a high-class Texas district lawyer was caught, cornered and shot himself before the cops could get to him. In return his sister filed a 100mill lawsuit against NBC claiming they caused his death. A Metro station manager and a Metro custodian have been arrested on prostitution charges. Transit police said they arranged sexual encounters from inside the Dupont Circle station. According to police, sex was for sale at the Dupont Circle red line Metro station, and the woman who arranged it was a Metro station manager.
Police said Waters used the Metro loud speaker system to page custodian Pam Goins. Goins, then, agreed to meet an undercover officer on another day for sex.
Pamela Goins; however, said it is all a big lie and she has never been in trouble before, but court documents show differently. The documents showed that Goins, 42, a Metro custodian from Capital Heights, agreed to have sex for money. Goins, though, said she wants her job back after being arrested in the undercover sex sting. Police said they got a tip in May that a Dupont Circle station manager passed out fliers that offered sex trips to Brazil. "What was revealed was that there was a possibility that here, within the Washington, D.C. area you could acquire sex for money," said Metro Transit Police Chief Michael Taborn.
Court documents also showed that Sharon Waters, 45, used her position as station manager to act as a madame. Her neighbor, though, described her as an entrepreneur. "She sold Mary Kay [and] had an agency with trips going to Brazil," said neighbor Ray Jones. Waters worked for Metro for 18 years. She told her neighbor her job was the best thing that ever happened to her. "During the summertime she had cookouts, and family and a lot of Metro workers come," Jones said of Waters. Waters was arrested Tuesday and is currently on administrative leave. Police have not said if any sex took place on Metro property, but said, more arrest may be coming.
